Our IT department keeps us up to date with the newest technology and trends in tech. Be that helping our Advertising department with our website, building custom web apps and reports for other departments, or hundreds of other things. They also support and secure a fleet of over 300 desktops, laptops, and servers across our 9 locations.

Some new initiatives in the company have been to move more operations to portable devices such as tablets and mobile phones and deploying digital signage for our customers and employees.

Since we are in an area that does get hurricanes, they make sure that our systems are redundant and highly available in case of a disaster or security issues. We run multiple monitoring systems and security products to protect our employees and customers information.

The IT department is transitioning to a dev ops style of systems and operations. We do run many proprietary systems and software but are also large users and supporters of open source software and systems.

Knowing that tech is an always changing field we encourage learning and trying new things. Some of our most used systems came from an idea or a pain point that one person brought up.
