2nd Home Furniture and Mattress Store opened in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (5909 Bluebonnet Boulevard) and in May of 2019 moved just off of Siegen Lane to a new location at 11136 Julia Aubin Drive.

Home Furniture Plus Bedding was founded in 1945 when George P. Fleming seized the opportunity to start his business in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  Several years later, Mr. Fleming’s son, George E. (Ged) Fleming, joined his team and shared in his vision to offer quality products with a clear focus on customer service. The young entrepreneur, Ged Fleming, spread his wings even further in 1972 when he opened his first Home Furniture store in Lafayette, Louisiana. Ged Fleming would go on to open several more retail locations in the Lafayette area before eventually expanding his scope to Texas in 1996 with a store in Beaumont. Home Furniture Plus Bedding has expanded in incredible ways over the years.
